Course overview

IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors gives learners an understanding of the benefits of health and safety at top-management level, and how integrating those objectives into other business mangement systems and procedures can help minimise risk, reduce losses and improve efficency. 

Based on guidance from the Institute of Directors (IoD) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the course covers the responsibilities and accountabilities of top-level management under the plan-do-check-act health and safety mangement system specific legislation - including:

  • The Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Company Directors Disqualification Act, and
  • Corporate Manslaughter and Homicide Act
