WASHINGTON - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has scheduled a further meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health's OSH Professionals Pipeline Work Group. The first meeting was held on Sept. 20, 2016, while the remaining meeting is scheduled for Oct. 18, 2016, in Washington, D.C.
Key to to developing recommendations for growing the next generation of occupational safety and health professionals, the meetings were scheduled to allow the work group to hear from representatives of professional safety and health organisations and other stakeholders about their initiatives, best practices and model programmes to promote careers in occupational safety and health.
The remaining meeting will be open to the public, as was the initial one, and will commence at 1 p.m. ET on both dates in Room S-4215-C at the U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20210. NACOSH was established by the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to advise and make recommendations to the secretaries of labor and health and human services on occupational safety and health programs and policies and matters relating to the administration of the OSH Act.
