NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma entry requirements

The course has three units:

How is the NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma assessed?

The NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma adopts a practical approach to learning and is assessed entirely through practical work and scenario-based questions.

DI1 is assessed with a practical assignment split into 4 sections:

  • Scenario based questions
  • Work based activities
  • Reflective statements
  • A short research project

Units DI2 and DI3 are assessed through case studies and scenario-based questions. You will be given 2-4 weeks to complete your assessments and submit your work to the NEBOSH online portal. The recommended time investment is approximately 40 hours for the DI1 assignment and 20 hours each for the DI2 and DI3 assignments.

What is the new NEBOSH International Level 6 Diploma?

The NEBOSH International Diploma is moving to Ofqual regulation, and as a result is now known as the NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals.

The course syllabus and learning outcomes remain the same as the previous specification.
The main driver in this change was to restore all International learners the ability to use their qualification to achieve IOSH membership.

Although there is no change in syllabus, NEBOSH have made some amendments to the assessment process, such as the length of each assessment and the number of marks available.  For a full breakdown of these changes you can read our blog here:
