To ensure optimal readiness for success in the NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma, you should already possess a foundational understanding of health and safety issues, including risk management, hazard control, accident investigation, and international regulations. We strongly recommend completing a foundation-level qualification, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate or gaining at least five years of work experience in the health and safety field before embarking on this program.
The NEBOSH International Diploma encompasses a comprehensive curriculum, focusing on senior-level health and safety management. Based on best practices and international regulations, particularly the International Labour Organisation's (ILO) codes of practice.

The NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma takes a practical approach to learning, as it evaluates your understanding through a series of practical assignments and scenario-based questions.
DI1 is assessed with a practical assignment split into 4 sections:
Units DI2 and DI3 are assessed through case studies and scenario-based questions. Upon registration, you will be given 2-4 weeks to complete your assessments and submit your work on the NEBOSH online portal. In general, you should allocate approximately 40 hours to the DI1 assignment and 20 hours each to the DI2 and DI3 assignments.

The NEBOSH International Diploma is moving to Ofqual regulation, and as a result is now known as the NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals.
The course syllabus and learning outcomes remain the same as the previous specification.
The main driver in this change was to restore all International learners the ability to use their qualification to achieve IOSH membership.
